We have been working for the past 2 years, to create an educational game based on Maths (and specifically the Pythagorean theorem) and make it fun to play (it has been a challenge)!
We are participating in the Steam Next Fest and we'd be delighted if more people tested our game and told us their opinions before the event!

You can try our game via the playtest: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2660240/CUPRUM2929/
During the steam next fest, our demo version will have the same content as the Playtest - which is now open for everyone anyway! The cinematics/cutscenes and the story elements will be available on the early access release!
Go through various escape rooms and figure out the solution to get out! Help Bob, find your dog and escape together! Even the game title can be a learning experience: Cuprum is the Latin name for Copper and 29 its atomic number!
A bit of context for us:
This is our very first video game and we are primarily educators, software engineers and Linux enthusiasts. We developed the game primarily on Linux with Unreal Engine and you can read about our experience on the "Developing a Video Game with Unreal Engine 5 on Linux" gaming on linux article. We also have published 2 open source utility tools for unreal engine development.
What we are looking for:
The AI era is upon us and as a team of educators, we are trying to find ways to inspire the younger generations to keep learning and have critical thinking. The steam version of the game (especially the Early Access) is based on the Pythagorean theorem, but we have plans to release Programming/Coding tasks, Chemistry and Physics until the end of 2026. Any feedback or thoughts would be useful to us!
We'd love to hear from you! If you like the game or the concept, please wishlist!
